Underwear Scare

It's official: I've sustained my first sports injury.

My exercise program is well into its second week, incident free. Until now.

I am careful not to compromise my already-funky knees with any jarring movements, and cautious when introducing weights because of the herniated disc in my neck. So far, my strategy had been successful.

This morning, I barely survived strangulation, though, while attempting to wrangle my way into a sports bra.

Life is frought with peril.

  4. i've been working out for about a month and a half also katy...and i think sports bras are evil devices created by men. i don't often say things like that about men, but really...would a woman who knows better ever have some up with such an idea, not to mention cramming supermodel areobics queens into them for us all to see and then mass marketing the things? i'll stick to cottony with a bit of stretch and underwire, even while working out, thank you very much.

  8. i am comforting myself by telling myself that my work out regime is the miles i walk each day on campus, and the five or six flights of stairs i walk up and down to get to my car every day. resist the elevator! :)

  9. Bethany--Be comforted! I did a semester of college fall of 2001, and lost four pounds ONLY from the walking and the stairs. Make sure you eat enough, girl, you can't afford to lose any weight!
