(No Title)
A couple of half-way interesting movies were on TV last night, during the same time slot.
"Let's do Armageddon," said one of the kids.
"No," I answered, "we can do the end of the world any time."
Did I say that?

- Of course, we Americans are noted for doing a few things besides going on kicks. However, I think that immersing oneself in the works of another for a period of time can be fun and productive. I recommend it.

- Amy, I feel it is a matter of opinion. I know that as a student I had to read a collection of Jane Austen's work and because of the circumstances under which I studied it, I disliked her work. However, I may appreciate her amazing talent in years to come.

- please tell me that you do something else other than this?? and i gather from your over the top excitement about austen that you are americans. jane austen was only good as a social commentator of her time. she did not write books so that poncy americans can go on a 'kick'.

- OK, Remains of the Day--I still have not seen this. I do love Emma Thompson--thanks for reminding me.

- We switched back and forth between Armageddon and the Thomas Crown Affair. I LOVE Sense and Sensibility--one of my very faves. I have not seen Emma, and want to!
