(No Title)

The two young men sauntered past my locked car in midtown Kansas City, where I sat waiting to meet up with some girl friends of mine. They began arguing then, gesturing more explosively with each step, until I wondered if the only thing preventing them from coming to blows was the cigarette they passed back and forth. Or possibly a shared philosophy, stated succinctly on one's t-shirt: "The best way to predict the future is to create it." I'm thinking the shirt was a gift.

anne, i suggested that you ride your horse down, but apparently it wasn't a feasible idea. maybe next time? :)

Tee, hee. You girls! Bridget, I'm not at ALL sure! Bethany, oh yes, it's you! We did have a blast, didn't we? A geezer chick and a bunch of little chickadees. SO happy to finally meet you, your sister and friend--great girls, all! Anne--After getting to see Rachel and her bud Alice, I missed you all the more! So glad you're back "in town," my little Irish girl!

i _so_ should have ridden my horse over to kc. with the pep he showed today, we would have been there by now. (next time.)

ack! maybe _next_ time we're in KC i'll get to meet you too, katy...rachel said she phoned to invite, but we were sidewalk shopping in lawence at the time. ah, well...

Lisa--Our girl Rachel is quite the get-together-giver! I would have so loved to meet you! Next time we'll plan a little earlier and sidewalk shop on the Plaza! xox

i don't know how much sidewalk shopping i could have handled that afternoon - it was HOT outside. it was good to see you at the show, lisa.
