Is it just me, or is anyone else suddenly smitten with blue and white woven cotton nightdresses, preferably with embroidered flowers on the bodice? I have purchased two now--one sleeveless and one with long poet's sleeves. Wearing them is pure inspiration. If it's just me, though, I'm OK with that.

Fallible Comments...
1. wow...that i have never gone through, although my sister lost a baby last year. i do love my kiddos, and we have a lot of fun together (they think i build the best blanket fort around, thank you very much :)...i just haven't quite come to grips with feeling pulled in twelve different directions most moments of my day. the blessing, though, far outweighs the thought of them not being in my life, that's for sure.

2. pj's and sunglasses...i don't think i've ever seen him without a pair. of sunglasses, that is.

3. Bethany, Well, speaking of Levi, the boy does have a thing for p.j.'s. Perhaps that's one of the reasons he's off to China again. I seem to recall a dashing silk pair of pajamas from his last trip...He's quite debonaire.

4. i feel rather similarly about a pair of striped cotton voile pj pants i bought at gap body, though. to each her (or, in levi's case, his) own, i guess. :)

5. Yeah, Bridgie, now I think I'm losing my grip. Just got back from Walmart, where I got a pink/white one. Gingham, with embroidered flowers. And petite ruffles. Very frou-frou. It could turn into an addiction as powerful as Starbuck's. But not as caloric, or as expensive. Sigh.

6. Gotta be just you...I prefer a tee and boxers. Maybe that's the way we do it in the 'burg, though! :)

7. Levi--You're still not invited to the slumber party.

8. no, no. i'm smitten. I have one, too.

9. And I'm OK with that! Really!

10. Lisa, OMG, you're right! I'd forgotten about the shades. Levi's in China now, did you know?

11. i knew he was going...do you get postcards or does he just tell you guys all about it when he gets back next year?
Posted by lisa on 12/31/69 at 12:00 PM
12. The only ones of Sco's friends who send postcards are Nino and Guissepe--the dears. I'll have to keep updated through Sco, I'm thinking, unless I succumb to the lure of Instant Messenger, which will be his method of choice. Sigh.

13. Lisa, My three beautiful people are all 2 years and 9 months apart, almost as if we planned it--tee, hee. Actually, I lost a baby before Scotty, and another between Scott and Carrie. But still. Pregnant 5 times to get to keep three such great kids is still a miracle!!

14. amen, amen, amen...thanks again. and you are the mother of three as well, yes? mine are all 2 1/2 years apart...any closer and i'd have lost my sanity altogether instead of watching it slip slowly day by day like i do now ;)

15. Lisa, Oh, yeah. Who needs Surivivor the show when you're a full-time Mom? No comparison. Glad to help with the guilt thing--it's a never ending battle.

16. those words were actually a breath of fresh air katy...i hear from everone else "how fast it goes and how you wish you were right back there again"...well, i don't have to feel guilty anymore...not that i don't love my kids + current occupation, but it can sure test my limits some days!

17. Lisa, Oh, how I hate to be the one to tell you this: Not everything is looked back upon with fondness. ;)

18. i just might try that, katy...nothing else seems to work. c and i are both night people, and our three little spitfire angels are early rises, no matter what time they went to bed. it's the battle of the barkers, but i think we're gaining ground. kansas, our oldest, has taken to being proud of himself if he "sleeps in" (gets up at 7:30 instead of 6:30)...i just know we'll look back on these years with fondness, right? i guess we become selectively forgetful as we mature...or something.

19. Wow, Lisa. I never thought about how hard it would be for a night woman to be on her kids' schedule! Bad enough for a day woman to raise a night boy (Sco). Can't imagine the other way around! Try sleeping in a poet's gown to wake up crisp, refreshed, and poetic. (Ha.)

20. i gave in for a while...it kept me up too late at night, i had to quit. i'm not too much for time management, and a night person to boot, but boy do we have train wreck mornings around here if i get on a not enough sleep bender...
Posted by lisa on 12/31/69 at 12:00 PM
21. um...it may just be you. :)

sounds cute though.
